Todd Jones
Todd Jones
President& CEO
Colorado native Todd Jones graduated from the University of Colorado Boulder (after studying for a few years in Germany) with a Bachelor's in Business Administration in International Business. He first worked for a student travel agency, followed by America West Airlines, both of which helped to develop his passion for travel. His travel industry experience inspired him to start a new travel agency, Exito Travel, in the 1990s. Exito Travel’s original business was driven by assisting language schools and language school brokers in Latin America. Jones led the starting team consisting of Wendy Angove, Emma Sutton, and Susanna Garner in Oakland, California.
Exito Travel started to expand by opening an office in Colorado in 2002, which later became the main office. Exito’s Costa Rica team was established in 2008, and another team in Mumbai was established in 2013. The Philippines team was added in 2022, as well as smaller teams in Europe and across South America.
Jones' long-term goal for Exito Travel is to continue to support sustainable travel. With the help of Jim Kane, who started Exito Travel’s Planet Care Program promoting sustainable aviation travel, Exito is a leader in agency support for sustainability. Exito's efforts have been featured in industry media such as Travel Age Magazine.
Outside of Exito Travel, Jones continues to expand his knowledge on sustainability, tinkering at home with solar energy. He also enjoys camping and traveling with his family.
Todd emphasizes the importance of a team. “It takes a team to do what we do.” In addition, he also highlights the importance of persistence, making sure that the Exito Team is nimble and flexible enough to achieve the long-term goals that the team aims for.

Emma Sutton has served as the Chief Human Resources Officer at Exito Travel since 1998 with dedicated service to the company and is known to be one of the first team members in Exito Travel when the organization started in the San Francisco Bay Area. Emma's lifelong passion for travel was sparked by extensive family trips across the US and Canada during her childhood, which included memorable camping excursions and a month-long canoe trip in the Northwest Territories. Her fascination with the world was further fueled by her obsession with National Geographic magazine, leading her to swear that she would one day explore all those amazing places herself.
Born in California and having lived in Arizona until the age of 10 before moving to the Seattle area (Bainbridge Island), Emma considers herself a product of the West Coast. Although she is fluent only in English, she has managed to navigate numerous cultures and destinations with enthusiasm. For Emma, the anticipation of the next trip is always thrilling, with her favorite adventure being her incredible journey to Botswana and South Africa. She is currently looking forward to a potential trip to Puerto Rico.
Emma advocates for a travel philosophy that emphasizes immersion and connection over the breadth of destinations visited. She suggests slowing down and not trying to do too much, advocating for spending ample time in one area to truly get to know it rather than rushing through multiple locations. This approach, she believes, makes for a more enriching and enjoyable experience, leaving room for return trips.
Outside of her professional life, Emma is active in her community, volunteering for the Special Olympics and the John Swett Education Foundation, driven by her commitment to her special needs young adult son. She is also coaching Special Olympics floor hockey this year, adding to her diverse range of interests and commitments. Susanna Garner has served as the Chief Financial Officer at Exito Travel since 1996, and she was one of the original Exito Travel team members when it was established in the San Francisco Bay Area. Her journey into the world of travel was kindled in her youth, spending countless hours engrossed in her uncle's collection of National Geographic magazines. The vivid storytelling and breathtaking photography of distant lands sparked a lifelong wanderlust. This passion led her to obtain her passport during college, after which a backpacking trip through Eastern Europe cemented her resolve to explore the globe continually.
Residing in Colorado, Susanna holds no singular favorite destination. She cherishes the anticipation of her next adventure, always believing that the best trip is the one that lies ahead. Her next trip has her set to explore the lush landscapes of El Yunque National Forest in Puerto Rico, a testament to her love for rainforests.
Susanna advocates for immersive travel experiences, emphasizing the importance of connecting with local communities to transform from an observer to a participant. She has worn many hats throughout the years, and is currently Exito’s Chief Operating Officer. Originally from the United States, Wendy is a seasoned traveler who speaks some French and basic Spanish, which aids her in connecting with clients from around the globe.
Wendy's love for travel was ignited by her curiosity and eagerness to explore new places and cultures. She finds it impossible to choose a single favorite destination, as each place she has visited holds unique memories and experiences. However, her adventures continue, with plans to travel to Europe again soon, and she dreams of exploring more of Asia and Africa in the future.

He joined Exito in 2008 as an International Flight Specialist, and has worked in Group Sales and Account Management, in addition to lending a hand or an idea wherever needed. He feels very fortunate to have seen and contributed to Exito's successes over the years.
The Business Development Team's primary areas of focus are partner acquisition and retention, strategic partnerships, relationship management, and identifying viable growth opportunities. In his current role as Senior Director of Business Development, Lucas and the team regularly present Exito's services to new prospects, in addition to meeting with existing partners to explore new opportunities. They are Exito's “road warriors” as they greatly value in-person time with all partners that are currently spread across four continents.
Travel has been one of the most influential aspects of his life. His experiences abroad began in earnest with half a year in Guanajuato, Mexico, followed not long after by a year in Buenos Aires, Argentina. His education at Arizona State University was mainly in the Spanish and Portuguese languages, and he has since visited most Latin American countries in addition to numerous visits to Europe, Asia, and the Middle East.
As a Wyoming native, Lucas grew up skiing and snowboarding since the age of 4. He has called Phoenix, AZ home for two decades, so his chances to hit the slopes, although few and far between, are essential. He and his partner, Misty, embark on regular long-distance bicycle rides around Phoenix's extensive canal system. They are also regularly attending live music, both locally and abroad. He's also passionate about old world sourdough baking, and he's always eager to share a loaf so don't hesitate to ask.

Colorado native Todd Jones graduated from the University of Colorado Boulder (after studying for a few years in Germany) with a Bachelor's in Business Administration in International Business. He first worked for a student travel agency, followed by America West Airlines, both of which helped to develop his passion for travel. His travel industry experience inspired him to start a new travel agency, Exito Travel, in the 1990s. Exito Travel’s original business was driven by assisting language schools and language school brokers in Latin America. Jones led the starting team consisting of Wendy Angove, Emma Sutton, and Susanna Garner in Oakland, California.
Exito Travel started to expand by opening an office in Colorado in 2002, which later became the main office. Exito’s Costa Rica team was established in 2008, and another team in Mumbai was established in 2013. The Philippines team was added in 2022, as well as smaller teams in Europe and across South America.
Jones' long-term goal for Exito Travel is to continue to support sustainable travel. With the help of Jim Kane, who started Exito Travel’s Planet Care Program promoting sustainable aviation travel, Exito is a leader in agency support for sustainability. Exito's efforts have been featured in industry media such as Travel Age Magazine.
Outside of Exito Travel, Jones continues to expand his knowledge on sustainability, tinkering at home with solar energy. He also enjoys camping and traveling with his family.

In his current role as Senior Director of Business Development, Lucas and the team regularly present Exito's services to new prospects, in addition to meeting with existing partners to explore new opportunities. They are Exito's “road warriors” as they greatly value in-person time with all partners that are currently spread across four continents.
Travel has been one of the most influential aspects of his life. His experiences abroad began in earnest with half a year in Guanajuato, Mexico, followed not long after by a year in Buenos Aires, Argentina. His education at Arizona State University was mainly in the Spanish and Portuguese languages, and he has since visited most Latin American countries in addition to numerous visits to Europe, Asia, and the Middle East.
As a Wyoming native, Lucas grew up skiing and snowboarding since the age of 4. He has called Phoenix, AZ home for two decades, so his chances to hit the slopes, although few and far between, are essential.
